Rose and saffron start Al Majed Oud Wood Brown. Rose brings a soft petal sweetness, while saffron adds a dry, golden, slightly leathery spice, and the pair make an unusual, rich opening. Leather and amber follow in the heart, deepening the spice into something supple and resinous, with a warm, glowing quality.
Vanilla, musk and oud form the base. Oud is smoky, dark and resinous, vanilla sweet and creamy, and musk smooth and clean. The floral note up top gives the dark finish a softer entrance than a purely woody scent would have. Overall it is a warm, rose-touched, leathery oud composition.
