Pink pepper opens Al Majed Oud Sahara Rose with a bright, peppery tingle, and rose follows as the sole note of the heart. Here the rose has a dry, spiced feel, helped by the pepper above, instead of a purely sugary one. The first two layers therefore blend together as a single peppery floral idea.
Ambroxan is the entire base. It is a modern, clean material, woody and faintly salty, with a smooth, mineral glow. It gives the rose a transparent, airy backing instead of a dark one. The resulting scent is minimal in structure, with one note in each layer and no sweetness added.
